At UK Boat Hire we have 11 start locations throughout the waterway network, from Falkirk in Scotland to Hilperton in Wiltshire, offering the widest choice of self-drive boat hire and narrowboat holidays.
Choose from a short break of 3 or 4 nights, a week or longer. Start days vary throughout the fleet so you can choose from a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday holiday. Our bases at Goytre (in South Wales) and Hilperton (near Bristol ) also have day-trip boats for hire for a taste of the canals or a special outing.
The Waterways of the UK provide one of the most relaxing and rewarding holidays around and they are also one of the 'greenest'. Starting the moment you board your floating home, a holiday cruising through some of the country's most breathtaking scenery, working the locks or sitting back with a glass of wine won't 'cost' the earth.

Every home comfort has been considered so, when you take the helm of your boat you are fully prepared for a totally relaxing boat hire holiday. Central heating, hot & cold running water, full kitchen facilities, television, radio and bed linen are all included in the comprehensive inventory . Every guest has full instruction and demonstration of the boat and its equipment before leaving the marina and all newcomers are taught how to handle the boat and operate locks.
